The
Pathivara Temple, situated on the hill of Taplejung in Nepal, holds immense
importance in Hinduism. Positioned approximately 19.4 kilometers northeast of
the Phungling municipality, the temple rests at an impressive altitude of 3,794
meters. Devotees from various regions in Nepal and other countries embark on
pilgrimages to this temple on special occasions, believing that it grants the
fulfillment of their deepest desires. Mount Kumbhakarna and Mount Kanchenjunga
stand majestically before one's eyes, while other towering peaks like Mount
Everest, Makalu, Choyu, and Lhotse can be witnessed from an altitude of eight
thousand meters.
Day 1:
Kathmandu to Kanyam/Illam Early morning drive to Kanyam/Illam. On the way,
breakfast and lunch. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 2:
Kanyam/Ilam to Mathilo Phedi Breakfast at hotel and drive to Mathilo Phedi.
Lunch on the way. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 3:
Mathilo Phedi to Phidim/Kabeli Visit and sightseeing to Pathivara Temple and
lunch at hotel. Drive to Phidim/Kabeli. Dinner and overnight at Hotel.
Day 4:
Phidim/Kabeli to Birtamode After breakfast, drive and sightseeing to Illam and
Lunch on the way. Visit Pau Pathivara Temple and drive to Birtamode. Dinner and
overnight at Hotel.
Day 5:
Birtamode to Kathmandu After breakfast, Visit Koshi Barrage/Kankalini Temple
and lunch on the way. Drive back to Kathmandu.
